Thank you for your interest in applying to The Educational Foundation of America (EFA).
EFA does not accept unsolicited proposals. However, we do, from time to time, release Requests for Proposals (RFPs) which will be announced on this website.
In addition, we welcome the submission of new project or program ideas in 250 words or less that will help to advance the goals of our Reproductive Health & Justice, Environment, and Make Democracy Work program areas.
All submissions will be automatically confirmed and a member of the EFA team will reach out to you if there is alignment with our programming goals. Note that your organization must be a 501(c)3 public charity, academic institution, or a government entity to receive funding from the EFA.
EFA's Reproductive Health and Justice program welcomes project and program ideas that will help increase access to abortion and contraception across the United States, with a particular focus in Appalachia.
The Environment program welcomes project and program ideas that will help to accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy, accessible to all. We are interested in innovative ideas that require collaboration, especially those that bridge climate and democracy.
The Make Democracy Work Initiative welcomes project and program ideas for state-based activities that restore and repair democracy in either Florida or North Carolina. In Florida, we are particularly interested in supporting efforts to help returning citizens access the ballot box.
